We will start this 13 days tour from Casablanca to Sahara Desert via Chefchaouen. we will visit Casablanca mosque, touristic places in Rabat Hassan Tower, Oudaias, Meknes (Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, Sahrij Souani Bassin, Bab El Mansour gate…), Volubilis and you will have Full day to visit Fez the old Imperial city , Ifrane “The Moroccan Switzerland”, then Azrou where we will have a stop at the famous cedar forest the largest in Morocco to see and enjoy with Barbary apes. During This trip, we will visit Merzouga Sahara Desert: Erg Chebbi, ride camel, sunrise and sunset, night in a camp between dunes in Sahara, Gnaoua music in Khamlia, Draa Valley, Dades Valley. Ouarzazate, Kasbah Ait benhaddou, Marrakech , UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mogador (Essaouira) and Marrakech sightseeing, coming back to Casablanca.
The driver will meet you at the airport and then board on car to Casablanca ( Appx. 45 mins drive ). you’ll visit Hassan II mosque ( 45 mins guided tour inside the mosque ), then you drive along the cornice ( seaside ), Check into the hotel.
After breakfast, we will drive to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, you will see the Hassan Tower and walk the Oudayas Kasbah before we arrive to Asilah most of the drive will be by the coast-where you will have the opportunity to explore the city. Asilah is known for its annual festival for the art, and most of the walls of the Medina are painted by various famous artists from all over the world. Your visit includes the Skalla fortress, where you will experience a wonderful view of the Medina and the ocean. overnight in our Hotel/Riad.
Chefchaouen, the Rif mountains strong hold and the most beautiful town in Morocco. Along the way you will enjoy some of the most beautiful landscape of the northern Morocco via the city of Tanger where we will visit the beautiful beach of Achakar and the famous Herculus Cave, then continue via the Rif mountains to Chefchaouen we will get afternoon then visit to this beautiful town is a must, in order to discover the real beauty that this little town that hides inside the Rif Mountains has to offer such as Outa Hamam Square, it’s beautiful medina. Overnight in Chefchaouen.
Today you will have a full day to explore this delightful town, with its steep, narrow streets and white and indigo lime-washed buildings. The Place Uta el-Hamman, the square at the heart of the old town, is ideal for a relaxed stroll, and is close to the Grand Mosque. Nearby are the Fondouk, the Kasbah and Museum. The Medina, with its maze of alleyways, contains more than 100 weavers’ workshops – Chefchaouen is famous for the woollen jellabas that are woven here. The Quartier Al-Andalus district also contains highly decorated and painted houses.
After breakfast, we will depart to Volubilis and explore the ruins of this Roman city. You will visit the holy city of Moulay Idriss, a place of pilgrimage of all Moroccans After you will continue to Meknes where you will explore the Medina of Meknes with its beautiful Tomb of Moulay Ismail, the granary and the Sahrij Souani, used for irrigation and plantation, The Square of Lehdim, and the Gate of Bab Mansour. You will have the opportunity to explore the souks and relax in one of the Square café’s. Later we will continue onto Fez. Accommodation at a traditional Riad.
You will spend most of the day with a local guide exploring the attractions of Fez the old imperial city of Morocco. The tour starts from the Royal Palace gate and takes you through the narrow streets of the Medina to the Jewish Quarter, the ceramics cooperative to see the traditional Moroccan crafts and the Tanneries. This tour highlights all the sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al karaouine University. Overnight.
After breakfast, we will drive to Ifrane “the Moroccan Switzerland” and Azrou passing the Middle Atlas Mountains “Tizi n t’lghamt pass”. During our trip, we will stop in lot of area to take pictures, and have lunch in Midelt , then we continue our tour through Ziz valley, city of Errachidia, Erfoud, and after we reach the heart of Moroccan Sahara Desert Merzouga, you will have some rest then ride your camels and trekking to the deep desert. During our camel trekking we will catch the sunset between sands dunes. A delicious dinner in Sahara Desert camp and we will enjoy this night in desert tents with Berber drums music under the clear sky and stars.
Early morning, your camel guide will wake you up to watch the sunrise. After sunrise and breakfast we will start our explorative journey of the area, visiting the village of the Khamlia, originally slaves from Sudan… to experience their music and lifestyle. we may also like to visit the berber nomad wire house where many Berber handicrafts are priced lower than in the big cities then we will come back to Merzouga, you will spend the night in a hotel/riad in Merzouga.
In the morning, you’ll leave to Rissani, visit an old Market in Rissani , a traditional town which was the origin of the ruling family in Morocco and the meeting place of the Caravans trading as far as Timbuctou in Mali. Here you will see a lot of men hooded and women veiled, continuing to Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight accommodation will be in a fancy hotel overlooking the Dades valley.
After having breakfast in the hotel. then drive along valley of roses to reach Kalaa M’gouna, and skoura, arriving to Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa and stop in the atlas film studios,The UNESCO world heritage site called “Kasbah Ait Benhaddou” classified since 1986. Ait Benhaddou Kasbah is one of many locations served as a natural decoration for many movies such as “Alexender, Gladiator, Babel…’’ and have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon we will drive to the red city of Marrakech passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Arrival to Marrakech and Drop off in your accommodation.
After breakfast in riad, You will start your journey sightseeing the city of Marrakech the red city of Morocco”, it was founded in the XII century by Almoravidian dynasty. you will visit the most important cultural and historical heritage. You will have great chance to explore Saadian tombs, Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Mosque (Tower). Moreover, our guide will lead you to see Bahia palace, the Souk of the city, and then you go to join the famous square of the medina where you will see and discover the fascinating serpent’s magician, “funny seminars” where some professional or humorous people tell fabulous and nice jokes. On the afternoon, you will have free time to walk around and discover other places of the city by yourself.
After breakfast, we will drive for a 3 hours trip to the port town of Essaouira. On the way, you will see the Argan trees, and then you will have optional visit into a cooperative of Argan oil, before you arrive in Essaouira. Upon arrival, you will start a walking tour in the traditional port, and then you walk through archs, and Ramparts which belong to the 18th century. The tour also features stop by Dutch cannons directed towards the sea. You can also roam around the market which displays oak products as the main articraft of the city. Lunch time and then check into the hotel. Free time in the afternoon.
In the morning after breakfast we will drive to Casablanca centre or Casablanca airport.
